Get one of those VR treadmills, it'll help simulate walking without you bumping into things. it can also help minimize that inner ear motion sickness feeling (but might not work for everyone)

I got my first VR Setup few weeks ago as a Later Christmas \ Early Birthday Present for myself. Videos don't do it justice VR is amazing you have to experience it to understand what the buzz is all about.

YES. I love Myst, there should be more games like that ! My Commodore 64 did NOT take that long to boot up. Filling it in with your brain? It's called "IMAGINATION". Kids today don't have any. I wish a developer would create a new game like these. Great video Je-Fah-Fah.

A hour after turning on his computer he finally gets the game running... I never had one of those old lap tops, I only played on Desk Top computers back then. I knew these lap tops existed but desk tops were so much faster and cheaper. The only benefit of those old lap tops was being portable otherwise it was better to use a desk top. Not like today when Lap tops are almost just as good as a regular desk top computer.

I loved Myst. Ihad the game until we moved about 5 years back, when the box the game was in was accidentally thrown out. I stil have the Myst book The book of Atrus though. Happy memories.

I LOVED MYST WHEN IT CAME OUT!!! My Dad and I both would play it for hours on end, ha I still have my first computer than ran it down in the basement somewhere I put a label on it that reads "Baby's firs computer" lol it was a i486C I believe hehe I've been waiting for MYST VR to come out on steam for a while, may have to use a program to be able to play the available version with my HTC VIVE

As someone with a decent amount of Vr experience I can tell you that after a few sessions you stop feeling sick, not true for everyone, some people just can't use it without being sick full stop, but your first few sessions should be taken in incriments of about 15 minutes with breaks in between. I'd love to see you experience more vr content, I recommend one of the basic vr games everyone should try "beat saber", i also recommended "the walking dead saints and sinners" and "bone works" which bring out a lot more of the vr experience but until you get over the nausea I'd hold off on those two And if you want something a great deal more spooky that's making its rounds in the gaming world recently I'd recommend "phasmophobia" which is a scary ghost hunting game that can be played with or without a vr headset and can be played multi-player Hope to see more of this Jeff, I've been a fan since I was little and I'm thrilled to find your channel here on YouTube

Have fun in the Quest2 wormhole. I have traveled a ways down. Learn how to get to SideQuest. And a whole new list of games. Oh and flight simulator games are a blast.

I've never been able to use VR while standing. I'd fall over. It's hard to not automatically move your feet in the direction your facing. Now I sit in a swivel chair and use the joy stick to move around. Even if I get dizzy, I'm already sitting down.

Three unsolved issues with VR: The screen so close to eyes may potentially affect eyesight, very close EMF exposure to the brain, and yes....nausea

I never played Myst although I am familiar with the original. Thanks for the history Jeff. When Jeff said the game could be had for a few hundred bucks I had a heart attack. 💔 Then I checked. Myst is $30. But you have to have the $300 quest 2 to play it on though. 😁 I already have the Quest. 👍🏽

Went to Universal Studios and did their ( I think the Simpsons ) roller coaster 3D virtual reality. WOW,I almost lost my Cookies a couple times. We stood still but the screen showed us moving and the chairs we sat in moved up and down side to side and even did on its side. WOW

Yeah, you made me curious. I now want to get out my Commodore 64 and see how long it takes for it to boot up.

I loved playing MYST! How awesome to be able to play it in VR now! That looks like a lot of fun too! Unfortunately I don't do well with VR as I get motion sickness easily. I tried a VR game around 20 years ago at Union Station in St. Louis, and I blacked out. I was 11 when my dad took me to the store to buy it. Hours and hours of fun. I even have a couple of the novels, one of which came with the game set that was available at the time. I was still using the mouse pad that came with it until about 10 years ago when the backing finally started to get crumbly.

Try the ISS (International Space Station) on Oculus. It really makes you feel weightless.

@Jeff Dunham: You May have figured this out already. The next step, like Star Trek, is a holo-deck. Think about the book or the movie, the illustrated man. There was a portion of it where the children would go into a Hollaback environment turn off the safeties and the parents follow them. This is an African environment and the lions eat the parents. That is a possible future for this direction of gaming. I’ve spoken to anonymous sources in the military that say they have holo-technology already in the works. It’s pretty scary stuff.
